Just a quick message to let you know that we have booked a ticket to New Zealand.
New Zealand is located in the Southern Hemisphere in the Pacific Ocean, approximately 1,600 km southeast of Australia. The country consists of 2 islands, namely North Island (North Island) and South Island (South Island) and is approximately 267,700 km² in size (about 7x the Netherlands).
More than 100 million years ago, New Zealand has become detached from Gondwanaland. This continent used to exist and is today: Antarctica, South America, Africa (including Madagascar and the Seychelles), India, Australia, New Guinea, New Zealand and New Caledonia. The landscape is very varied with mountain ranges, white sand beaches, azure blue lakes, rainforest, glaciers, fjords and active volcanoes.
We will stay here for around a month and we are eager to start the adventure. Today and tomorrow we stay in Auckland, after which we have rented a car to start our trip.
See you soon......
